Frequency within a audible range exam and Tinnitus?
I have a hearing tryout coming up where frequencies will be tested mostly at 500 to 2000Hz. I have a subdued but noticeable reining in my ears commonly referred to as Tinnitus, and I am concerned this could negatively affect my potential to complete the audiogram test but some have said the ringing is at a complex frequency than 500-2000Hz and there for should not affect sound at those frequencies. Can anyone back confirm that this should be the case, or could the ringing drown out the tones during the test?
"> I constantly experience tinnitus, and audible range tests drive me crazy as I can't always inform if it's just the tinnitus or if I actually do hear something coming through the receiver or speakers. Just do the best you can is all I can say.
